Rimi - Dangerous poor service
On friday 2nd October we purchased a duck from Rimi for Sunday lunch with family. It was in the chill cabinet next to the chickens. It was kept in our refrigerator until sunday at 1pm. Upon opening it from its sealed plastic bag the stench was terrific. The duck was green under the skin as the photos show. We had to make other arrangements for lunch. We had only purchased the duck, an avacado, a couple of sweet potatoes and some mandarins. We could not find the receipt but who keeps every little food shop receipt? Today, monday 5th my wife went to rimi and asked for the manager, she was fobbed off with a lady from the meat counter who said that as we had no receipt she could not help. We had photos which clearly showed it was a rimi duck, the sell by date showed it to be okay until the 6th of october. These ducks are frozen at distribution but allowed to defrost in a chill cabinet. Obviously this had happened to this duck well before it should have. It shows that no care is taken by the staff responsible for monitoring such things beware of anything frozen or chilled from rimi, they don't care. They will have to care soon because here comes lidl to Tukums. A company that prides itself on customer care. Photos attached.
