Latvijas Universitāte - International students’ problems with Student Council

Student Council of University of Latvia is organization which helps students and represents them on daily basis.
However it does not happen with international students at least. We have the Head of International Affairs in Student Council and International Student Collegium. However, never heard of any actualities and what they are doing. Is this what should happen at the biggest university in Latvia?
Some of my friends have written to the Head of International Affairs in Student Council and had to wait for the reply for weeks.
Please University of Latvia do something. International students want to be heard. I do not know where else to write it but hope that this will help to solve the situation.
