Cityparks - High penalty
I admit my negligence to an extent, but 35 euro fine just because i went in less than 5 minutes to buy cigs in Rimi Dzelzavas iela is just outrageous. Lb7599 car number. I'm a foreigner and i did not notice the warning signs (language and also i was in a rush) . Its just too expensive to be honest.

There you need just to put up a paper clock. Whats problem in tnat, although annoying since this parking was never very full.
are you from ukraine? tell me a developed eu country that has lower parking fines

as i said i admit to my negligence. people lose guard and forget things like that especially after years of patronizing that rimi since it was free parking till this summer i think (it becomes a habit to simply park and go in) but its simply too high penalty, its not in the city center but middle of ilguciems (living area)!, why 35eur? makes no sense at all.
10 - 12 eur is reasonable for a first time warning.
i will pay the fine sure but im glad to see that other people feel the same way bout this.
its simply not fair at all and anyway since i have a car i'll simply drive 3 minutes farther to maxima or mego to buy stuff next time. From now on that rimi is dead to me.
35 eur is because in Latvia everyone wants easy money any way they can get them. And bread with caviar and Thai travels. And guys from City park, im sure, having these all since there is no decision, no change in their parking policy. So just try to ignore the places they are but they become less and less!
It's simply their primary business to push out the money for nothing, like mostly everywhere in Latvia. Welcome!
dear foreigner, just calm down and pay the fine... in the year 2000 in amsterdam i paid about 70$ parking fine in dutch guilders for not noticing "paarkerautomaat" sign in dutch language which was hidden in the building's construction work scaffoldings... and had no excuses at "paarkerboete kantoor" due to our daughter's 3rd birthday which happened exactly on that day... poor girl was crying all the remaining of her birthday, being very sorry for her daddy..:"-(((
