Complaint Regarding Poor-Quality Product and Harm to HealthOn May 2nd, 2025, we placed an order at Capitin Sushi (SIA “EML Baltic”), which included a sushi set. The delivery took two hours. Unfortunately, the delivered food was of extremely poor quality:The sushi was not fresh, with a distinctly unpleasant odor;Several rolls were broken, and the overall presentation was unappetizing and unfit for consumption;The boxes were torn, raising serious concerns about the handling, packaging, and storage conditions.Three people consumed the sushi. That same night, all of us developed acute gastrointestinal symptoms, including severe diarrhea, stomach cramps, sharp abdominal pain, and extreme discomfort. The condition was terrible, and our Sunday was completely ruined.We examined the food under a microscope and were shocked by the contamination we found. Samples have already been sent for expert laboratory analysis, and we are currently awaiting the official results.I do not rule out the presence of dangerous bacteria (such as pathogenic bacilli) in the food, which may become evident after microbiological testing under a microscope and professional examination. Given the above, we are requesting the following:A full refund for the low-quality and unsafe product delivered;Compensation for the harm to our health and the emotional distress caused.Additionally, we strongly do not recommend this company for food delivery. Reasons include:Excessive delivery time (2 hours of waiting);Serious health risks — you may end up with a headache, stomach cramps, and severe diarrhea.We expect a prompt and responsible response to this complaint. Otherwise, we will proceed to file a formal report with the Consumer Rights Protection Centre and other relevant regulatory authorities. We came as tourists with just four days to relax, and this experience completely ruined our short vacation.

Every morning, we call customers who placed orders through our direct platform the previous day to gather feedback, and we also carefully review ratings and comments from external platforms such as Bolt and Wolt.

For May 2nd, 2025, we have not received any similar complaints across any of our branches. Additionally, we work closely with the Food and Veterinary Service (PVD) and undergo regular inspections to ensure our compliance with strict food safety standards.

We take your concerns seriously and are open to fully investigating this situation. We would be grateful to receive the official results of the laboratory analysis you mentioned, as this will help us understand what happened and take appropriate action. On our end, we are also ready to examine any product from our kitchen to verify its safety and quality.
