Recently, I had a strange situation. I posted an advertisement on ss.lv, and an hour later, I received a call from a company that introduced themselves as Invex Fondi. I transferred 981 euros to their account. After that, they told me it was a consultation fee and then disappeared. I'm a bit in shock, but now my money is gone. Could you please tell me in detail what Invex Fondi is? I arrived from Kyiv a few days ago, and I'm not very familiar with the local laws and taxes.

I’m now wondering whether this is a scam or if Invex Fondi is actually a legitimate government organization. The situation feels suspicious, as they disappeared after receiving the payment, and I didn’t receive any tangible services or consultation. However, I’m not sure if this is a typical business practice here or if it’s a fraudulent scheme taking advantage of newcomers who don’t know the local laws. Could you help clarify whether this company is legitimate or if I’ve been scammed?
