Rigas Lidosta - Krāpšana/ jaunu standartu ieviešana/rupja attieksme
Yesterday on 28.08.2016. I was flying from Riga to Vienna.
I had only hand luggage with me. All liquids and fluids were packed in a plastic bag received in the Rom International airport (with Rom airport stamp/emblem on it).
The woman at the security control said that "it does not corresponds to the standards" and gave me smaller one. In this new bag I could not fit all (2 of my newly bought creams of Madara cosmetics were put separate next to the liquid bag in the original packaging, 30ml and 60ml).
She said I have to throw them out or to register my luggage and pay for it. She did not wanted to here any objections and was not polite at all. I also received comment from her that my "actions are illegal". Simply no comments.
As a result I stuck in the security check for 30min from 15:15-15:45.
Every time I have alike weird situations in Riga airport. Stuff is not friendly and often invents their own standards and rules. Things that are accepted all over the world and in European airports are not accepted in Riga airport. Be ready!!!
Advise - If you are flying with hand luggage from Riga airport - do not purchase any Latvian products. You will be forced to throw them out or pay for them again.

And I suggest You to get introduced with rules before a flight! Or travel by bus! Complaint about nothing! Does not matter how the other airports do regarding security checks and security requirements related to luggage. If Riga Airport do the maximum with no exceptions and if they do not care nice&polite discussions - I think that is correct and they are right!
And especially if every time You have weird situations in Riga Airport, probably something's wrong with Your attitude. No money to pay for the luggage? Come on, that's not too expensive!

You really think that anyone from the airport staff is commenting here? :) I doubt that! And I am not anyhow employed by Riga airport and I'm not even close to that type of business. I am just sharing my own considerations, opinion, basing on my understanding of things and own experience.

that is called common sense and a good advice... or do you consider any logical opinion that is not like yours to be an evil plot from the all-powerful rigas lidosta?
